Trainerize alternatives: 8 platforms worth switching to

The Trainerize alternatives coaches move to, compared on price, add-ons and branded apps, with who each one suits.

Most coaches do not leave Trainerize because of the training tools. They leave because of the invoice. The plan is one line, then nutrition, payments, scheduling and video calling each arrive with their own monthly charge, so the number you agreed to at signup is not the number you pay a year later.

This article covers the platforms coaches move to, what each one costs with the features you use switched on, and the coach each one suits. Fitsly is one of them: every feature on every plan, and a coach app that does the whole job on iOS and Android. Every competitor price is a list price as of September 2026.

What you are actually paying on Trainerize

Trainerize runs from a free tier for one client, to Grow at $10/month for two, to Pro from $25 to $135/month for 5 to 50 clients, with the ladder continuing to Pro 200. Studio Plus starts at $275/month for up to 500 members. Annual billing saves 10%.

On Grow and Pro, four things are add-ons:

  • Advanced Nutrition Coaching — $20/month on Grow, Pro 5 and Pro 15, rising to $45/month from Pro 30 through Pro 200.
  • Business add-on — $25/month, covering scheduling, referrals, payments and on-demand coaching.
  • Stripe Integrated Payments — $10/month.
  • Video Coaching — $10/month, including 50 hours of calling and 100 hours of streaming.

All four are included on Studio plans. At 50 clients with nutrition, payments and the Business add-on switched on, that is $135 + $45 + $25 + $10 = $215/month. The full breakdown is in Fitsly vs Trainerize.

Check the bill before you move

Two consequences follow. First, the add-on you need most gets more expensive exactly when your roster grows. Second, a coach using none of the add-ons pays the plan price and nothing else, so their saving from a move is smaller than the headline suggests. Add up what you are actually charged before you spend thirty hours moving.

Fitsly — every feature on every plan, from the coach app

Fitsly charges for one thing: how many active clients you have. $39/month for 20, $69 for 50, $99 for 75, $159 for 125, $229 for 200 and $419 for 500. Every feature is on every plan — training, nutrition, payments and packages, check-in forms, habits, progress photos, automations, messaging, community, content vault, Apple Health sync, sub-coaches and your own branding in the client app. Annual billing is two months free. There is a 14-day trial with everything switched on, and clients pay nothing.

Against the invoice you are leaving, the comparison is direct. On Trainerize at 50 clients, macros plus payments is $45 plus $25 plus $10 on top of $135. On Fitsly at 50 clients it is $69 and there is nothing to add — and nothing to add later either. The $39 plan for 20 clients has exactly what the $419 plan for 500 has, so a coach who starts on programming and adds nutrition in a year does not get a new line on the bill.

The second thing coaches who have moved from Trainerize tell us is where the work gets done. The Fitsly coach app on iOS and Android does everything the desktop does: build and assign a program, write a meal plan, review a week of check-ins, take a payment, set up an automation, message a client. The check-in review is the specific most of them mention — form answers, photos, training and food log on one screen, so the reply takes about as long as reading it. They also tell us the product keeps moving: requests get built and updates arrive in weeks.

Two facts to weigh honestly. Fitsly is not the cheapest platform on this list at a full roster — Hubfit and Kahunas are less from 100 clients up, and the sections below say so — and there is no in-platform video calling, so calls run on Zoom or Google Meet. What the difference buys is the whole product on every plan, and every part of it in your pocket.

TrueCoach — if the add-on model is the whole problem

TrueCoach's answer is a policy rather than a feature: there are no paid feature add-ons. Their pricing FAQ puts it as "what you see is what you get". If your complaint about Trainerize is the stack of $10 and $25 lines rather than the total, this is the most direct fix on the list.

Starter is $29.98/month for up to 5 clients, Standard is $69.98 for up to 20, and Pro is $164.98 for up to 50, on monthly billing as of September 2026. Their pricing page shows the annual figure by default, so switch it to monthly before you compare. Published tiers stop at 50 clients, with custom pricing above that. There is a 14-day free trial and a 90-day money-back guarantee on first annual subscriptions. Clients pay nothing.

The trade-offs are in what the tiers include. Wearables integration and the custom-branded app are excluded on Starter, and Zapier automations are on Pro only, so "everything included" means everything on your tier. Nutrition runs through a MyFitnessPal integration rather than a built-in food database, which matters if you want meal plans and macro compliance in the same place you write programs. TrueCoach does not sell a white label app; its "custom-branded" app is your logo and colour theme inside the TrueCoach app. More on the fit is in TrueCoach alternatives.

PT Distinction — if you want your branding without an add-on bill

PT Distinction is $19.90/month for 3 clients on Basic, $59.90 for 25 on Pro, and $89.90 for 50 on Master, as of September 2026. Extra clients are $6.00/month on Basic, $2.40 on Pro and $1.60 on Master. Billing is monthly with no annual contract, and there is a one-month free trial.

Pro and Master include a custom-branded iOS and Android app at no extra charge; Basic's apps carry PT Distinction's branding. Every tier includes selling packages, taking payments, integrations and pre-made templates.

Be clear about what that branded app is. On iOS the store app is named "Online Personal Training" and takes on your branding after login; on Android it carries your name but is published by PT Distinction. That is custom branding rather than a listing under your own developer account — the thing Fitsly includes on every plan at no cost — so the like-for-like at 50 clients is $89.90 on Master against $69 on Fitsly, both with your branding in the client app.

The other trade-off is the extra-client charge: at 60 clients on Master you are at $89.90 plus 10 x $1.60, so the price moves with the roster rather than sitting still between tiers.

Everfit — if you have a handful of clients or want a free tier

Everfit's Pro plan is $19/month for 5 clients, $49 for 20, $95 for 50 and $160 for 125, as of September 2026. Studio starts at $105/month for 50 clients and runs to $325 for 300. Annual billing saves 16%.

At the small end this is the softest landing on the list: a free tier and $19/month for five clients means leaving Trainerize's free plan does not make your costs jump.

The trade-off is that Everfit's model has the same shape as the one you are leaving. Autoflow — their automation tool — is from $29/month on Pro, and On-Demand Collections are from $25/month. Both are included on Studio. White label is Enterprise only, 500 clients and up, price not published. At 50 clients with automation on, $95 + $29 = $124/month against Trainerize's $215 is a real saving, but it is a smaller stack rather than no stack. Everfit alternatives goes into where that lands.

My PT Hub — if you want the roster cap gone

My PT Hub's Premium plan carries no client cap. Their US pricing page puts Starter at $40/month for 3 clients, Premium at $105/month for unlimited clients with unlimited workouts and nutrition plans, and Ultimate at $329/month with every add-on bundled, including white label, as of September 2026.

Uncapped is the point. On a per-client platform, growing from 45 to 55 clients moves you up a tier; on Premium the price at 10 clients and at 200 is the same. If you run a high-volume, lower-touch model — large groups, challenges, seasonal intakes — that matters more than any feature on this page. At 50 clients, though, Premium's $105 is above Fitsly's $69; the flat rate starts to pay at a roster past 125 or so.

Branding is sold separately: custom branding is a $145 one-time add-on, still inside the My PT Hub app, and a white label app under your own name is a $225/month add-on on Premium — $330/month all up — or bundled into Ultimate. Starter covers 3 clients, so most working coaches are on Premium from day one. My PT Hub alternatives has more on how that plays out.

Hubfit — if you want the most clients per dollar

Hubfit is $39/month for up to 50 clients on Standard, $69/month for up to 100 on Premium, and $119/month on Ultimate, as of September 2026. Ultimate covers 100 clients and then charges per client above that, from $1.19 each down to $0.84 at 500. Annual billing is two months free, there is a free trial, and no commitment.

The tier that matters is Premium, because it adds custom branding, payments and packages, Autoflow, Meal AI and Workout AI. Standard has no payments and no custom branding, so if you take money through the platform, Premium is your starting point rather than $39.

Premium is where Hubfit undercuts most of this list, including us. It covers 100 clients for the same $69/month that buys 50 on Fitsly, and at 200 clients Hubfit Ultimate is around $119 against Fitsly's $229. If your decision is clients per dollar, that is the row to beat. What the Fitsly price buys is the full product on every plan — nothing held back on a lower tier the way payments and branding are on Hubfit Standard — and a coach app that does every task, which coaches who have moved to Fitsly tell us they would not give back.

Hubfit's Premium is custom branding, not a separate app under your own name. Its white label is an Enterprise plan at $469/month, currently waitlisted, for up to 500 clients.

Kahunas — if you want unlimited clients and your own store listing

Kahunas is $35/month for 25 clients on Essentials, $69 for 50 on Growth, and $99 for unlimited clients on Ultimate, as of September 2026. Annual billing saves 25%. Ultimate includes the coach's own branded iOS and Android apps with their own App Store listings, plus group messaging and Zapier/Make.

$99/month with no client cap and a real store listing is the cheapest published white label in the category, and it is below the same outcome on Fitsly, where 50 clients plus white label is $268/month. What separates the two is what sits underneath: on Fitsly the white label is an add-on to a plan that already has every feature, and your branding inside the standard client app is included at no cost if that is all you need.

Essentials already carries a food database with 800k barcodes, micronutrients, a TDEE calculator, the content vault and voice-note messaging, so nutrition is not a paid extra at any tier. Custom branding is not offered below Ultimate.

FitBudd — if the app is what you are selling

FitBudd is $15/month for 2 clients on Starter, $79/month for 20 on Pro, and $149/month for 20 on Super Pro, with extra clients at $4/month on Starter and $2/month on Pro and Super Pro, as of September 2026. Yearly billing gives two months free.

The tiers differ by app. Starter uses the FitBudd-branded client app, Pro adds custom theming, and Super Pro publishes your own app on iOS and Android, with a $75 non-refundable setup fee. At 50 clients Super Pro is $149 + 30 x $2 = $209/month with your own app — $59 a month below Fitsly plus white label at the same count. Fitsly's $199 sits in the middle of the category on white label — below Hubfit, My PT Hub and Trainerize Studio, above Kahunas and FitBudd — and it is the same $199 on any plan from 20 clients up, with the full product underneath.

The trade-off is the per-client charge: at 100 clients Pro is $79 + 80 x $2 = $239/month, and the flat-rate platforms are well ahead by then.

The alternatives side by side

Monthly list prices as of September 2026. "White label" is an app published under your own name on the stores; "custom branding" is your logo and colours inside the platform's own app.

How to read this table

Read the table by your own situation rather than down the price column. A coach with eight clients and no nutrition service, a coach with 200 clients and a paid app, and a coach doing full-service coaching for forty people are three different purchases. Price yours with every feature you use switched on, at next year's roster.

How to run the comparison properly

Pick two platforms, not five. Every one on this list has a trial of at least 14 days, and the only test that tells you anything is rebuilding your most-used program and running one real check-in cycle in each — as much of it as you can from your phone, because that is where the work happens.

Work out your own number first: your current plan, plus every add-on, times twelve, at the client count you expect in a year. That figure is usually different enough from the plan price to change the answer.

Then check the two things a trial will not show you: whether the integration you depend on exists, and what your clients have to do on switching day — new app, new login, new card. That is where a migration loses people, and the process for protecting the roster through it is in how to migrate clients to a new coaching platform.

If your shortlist comes down to nutrition, payments and check-ins being in the base product, and running all of it from your phone, Fitsly's pricing is one client-count number with no add-ons underneath it.

Frequently asked questions

Why do coaches leave Trainerize?

Usually the add-on structure rather than the tools. On Grow and Pro plans, nutrition coaching is $20 to $45/month, the Business add-on is $25/month, Stripe Integrated Payments is $10/month and Video Coaching is $10/month. A coach using nutrition, business and payments at 50 clients pays $215/month against a $135 plan price. All four are included on Studio plans.

One price, every feature

Fitsly includes nutrition, payments, forms and automations on every plan. The only thing that changes your bill is how many active clients you have.
