How do I add workouts, tasks, and automations to a specific day?

Use a day cell's add menu to put a workout, progress photo task, body metric task, or automation on an exact date.

Every day cell on a client's Calendar tab has an add menu for putting something on that exact date — including past dates. It's the fastest way to schedule a single item without going through a program or the recurring scheduler.

Add an item to a day

  1. Hover over the day and click its + button. A menu opens headed "Add to" that date.
  2. Pick what to add:
    • Workout — choose Import from library to assign a saved workout to that day, or Create new workout to build one from scratch for that day.
    • Progress photos — schedules a progress photos task on that day immediately.
    • Body metrics — schedules a body metrics task on that day immediately.
    • Automation — opens the automation setup with that date pre-filled.
  3. To create a block of these instead of one, use Schedule events under Recurring in the same menu. It opens seeded to that day's week.

What the client sees for each item type

You addThe client's card readsNotified?
WorkoutThe workout, on that day of their scheduleNo
Progress photos"Take your progress photos"No
Body metrics"Record your body metrics"No
AutomationNothing until it fires — then whatever the event doesOnly for message and notification events

Progress photo and body metric tasks use standard titles. There's no custom title or description to set, and the title can't be edited afterwards — the only thing you can change on a created task is its day. If you want the client actively nudged about a task, pair it with a check-in form or a habit reminder.

Add a one-off automation event on a day

Choosing Automation from the day menu opens the same event builder used in the automation editor, plus an explicit date and time. The date must be today or later, and the event fires at that date and time in the client's own timezone. An event with no time set fires at 9:00 AM.

Things to watch out for

Photo and metric tasks can be added to any day, including past days — useful when you're backfilling a client's history, but a past task never nudges the client.

A photo or metric task completes automatically when the matching data is logged for its exact scheduled day. Photos or metrics logged on a different day leave the task pending, even though the data itself is saved.

Deleting a task removes the scheduled item only. Photos and metric entries the client already logged are untouched.

If you're on a team, you can only create calendar items for clients assigned to you.
