How do I add, remove, and edit sets on an exercise?

Add, remove, and configure sets, reps, rest, tempo, and per-set tracking metrics on any exercise inside the workout builder.

Every exercise in a workout carries its own set list. You configure it from the exercise card in the workout builder, on the web dashboard under Training → Workouts.

Rest per set

Add and configure sets on an exercise

  1. Open the workout in Training → Workouts and find the exercise card.
  2. Click Add set. Each new set copies the one above it, so you only change what's different.
  3. Set each set's type, reps, rest, and tempo.
  4. Save the workout.

The Add set button disappears once an exercise reaches 20 sets. That cap applies to the builder only — sets a client adds themselves in a freestyle or mid-session edit have no upper cap.

Remove a set from an exercise

  1. On the exercise card, find the set row you want to remove.
  2. Click the at the end of that row.
  3. Save the workout.

Every exercise needs at least one set, so the is disabled on the last remaining set. To drop the exercise entirely, remove the exercise instead.

Choose what the client logs per set

Each exercise card lets you pick up to three tracking columns — the metrics the client fills in per set. Defaults follow the exercise's tracking type, and anything you choose here overrides them for this workout only.

Available metrics are weight, reps, long distance, short distance, time, speed, cadence, RPE, RIR, heart rate, heart-rate %, calories, watts, RPM, and rounds. A rest column always shows alongside.

Set rest between sets

Rest is entered per set as minutes and seconds, each up to 59. The client's player runs it as a countdown between sets.

How clients add or remove sets during a workout

Clients can change the set count mid-session in the client app. They tap More on the exercise, then Add new set or Remove set in the Modify sets sheet. Remove set always removes the last set, and it's hidden when only one set is left. In a superset, the change applies to every movement in the group. It only changes that session — your workout stays as you built it.
