How do I assign, move, copy, or remove a client's workouts?

Schedule workouts on a client's calendar, copy them to more days, edit their copy, move them, and remove ones they haven't started.

Once a workout is on a client's calendar it's that client's own copy — an assignment. Editing it never touches your library workout or any other client.

Client workouts are managed from the client's Calendar tab on the web dashboard.

Schedule a workout on a client's calendar

  1. On the client's Calendar tab, schedule an event and choose Workout.
  2. Pick a workout from your library.
  3. Choose the days of the week, a Starting week, Repeat every (default 1 week), and For the next (default 4 weeks).
  4. Confirm.

Dates in the past are skipped. If every date in the schedule would be in the past, the assignment is rejected. Each placed workout is an independent snapshot of the library workout at that moment.

Copy a client's workout to more days

From a calendar workout's menu, choose Copy to day(s) and pick one or more days. Each day gets its own independent copy.

Read a workout's status on the calendar

Clicking a workout opens its preview drawer with a status, plus a provenance label when the workout wasn't assigned by you.

Status
StatusWhat it means
AssignedScheduled and not started
In ProgressThe client is mid-session
MissedScheduled, not completed, and the day has passed
CompletedThe client finished it

Coach LoggingYou're logging it right now

Provenance labels are "Freestyle · Logged by the client", "Vault · Started by the client", and "Client-added" — the last with "From {program}" when the client copied it from a program.

Edit a client's assigned workout

The preview drawer's Edit workout opens the full workout builder, scoped to just that client's copy. Two states block editing:

  • In progress — "You cannot update this workout as it is currently in progress by the client."
  • Completed — the builder says the workout has been completed by the client, with a View results link instead.

Move or remove a client's workout

Use Change day in the preview drawer to move a workout, and Remove to take it off the calendar.

Sub-coaches can only manage training for clients assigned to them.

Quick answers

When does my client get notified about a workout?

When an assigned or copied workout lands on today in their timezone, and when a workout scheduled for today is removed. Future-dated workouts appear silently, and moving a workout to another day sends nothing.
