To assign a workout, open the client's profile, go to their Calendar tab, click the plus button on the day you want, choose Workout, then either import one from your library or create a new one.
Steps
- Click Clients in the sidebar.
- Select the client you want to assign the workout to.
- Open the Calendar tab.
- On the day you want the workout scheduled, click the plus (+) button inside the day square.
- In the menu, click Workout.
- In the Add Workout modal, choose one:
- Import from library — pick from your saved workout templates.
- Create new workout — build a custom workout from scratch.
- Save the workout. It will show up on the chosen day for both you and the client.
Where the workout appears for the client
Once assigned, the workout appears on that date in the client's calendar inside their Fitsly app. They can open it from the calendar to start logging sets, reps, and weights on the scheduled day.
Things to watch out for
- The plus (+) button menu also includes Progress photos, Body metrics, Automation, and Schedule events. Make sure you click Workout specifically.
- "Import from library" pulls from your saved workout templates — if your library is empty, use Create new workout instead, or build the template first under your workouts library.
- Assigning a single workout this way schedules it on one date only. To assign a multi-week structured plan, use a program or automation instead.
- If the client doesn't see the workout in their app, ask them to pull to refresh the calendar and confirm they're signed in to the same account you assigned it to.
