How do I send a broadcast announcement to my clients?

Send one message to up to 100 clients at once — as private direct messages or one shared group chat — from the Messages page.

Verified Sep 12, 2026Web

A broadcast sends one message to many clients at once. Each recipient sees the message with an Announcement badge and gets a push notification. Broadcasts are on the web dashboard only. In the coach mobile app, Messages opens the app's own chat screen, which doesn't have a broadcast option.

Choose how the broadcast is delivered

Delivery
DeliveryWhat it doesDefault
Send separatelyDelivers the message as an individual direct message to each client. Replies come back to you privately and clients never see each otherYes
As group chatPosts the message in one group chat with all recipients, so everyone sees each other's repliesNo

As group chat reuses an existing group if you already have one with exactly these members; otherwise it creates a new group. This is the one place where a group isn't duplicated — starting a group chat by hand always makes a new one.

Things to watch out for

  • A broadcast sent separately lands in each client's conversation as an ordinary message you sent, so removing it means deleting it in each conversation.
  • Recipients get a push notification immediately. There's no scheduling and no quiet-hours window.
  • Clients whose Messaging feature is switched off don't have chat in the client app.
