The message composer handles text plus four kinds of attachment: photos, one video, a voice note, and GIFs. Everything here works on the web dashboard and in the coach mobile app.
Send a text message
Type in the composer and press Enter to send. On the web, Shift+Enter adds a new line instead. An emoji picker is built into the composer.
Messages can be up to 5,000 characters. Recipients get a push notification with the text and their unread badge updates.
Send photos
- On the web, open the attach menu and choose photos — pick from your computer or drag and drop into the conversation.
- In the coach app, tap the camera button, or the paperclip and then Select Images.
Up to 5 photos per batch, and each photo is sent as its own message. Recipients are notified "Sent an image".
Send a video
- On the web, open the attach menu and choose video.
- In the coach app, tap the camera button to record — recordings cap at 3 minutes — or the paperclip and then Select Video.
One video per message. It uploads immediately and is processed before it plays, so give it a moment after sending.
Send a voice note
Tap the microphone button on the web or in the coach app. You get a live waveform while recording, and a preview afterwards that you can delete before sending. Recordings stop automatically at 3 minutes. Recipients are notified "Sent a voice message".
Send a GIF
Use the GIF button on the web or in the coach app to open the built-in GIPHY picker with search. The GIF is delivered as an image message.

Things to watch out for
- The web photo picker advertises GIF alongside JPEG, PNG, and WebP, but GIF files fail at upload. Send GIFs with the GIF button instead.
- Photos, videos, voice notes, and GIFs can't be edited after sending — delete and resend instead. Only text messages can be edited.
- Notification previews depend on the type: the message text for text, "Sent an image" for photos, GIFs, and videos, and "Sent a voice message" for voice notes.
