How do I request a payout, and how long until the money lands?

Request your available Stripe balance from the Payouts page, and read the balance breakdown that shows what's ready and what's still settling.

A payout moves your accumulated earnings from Stripe to the bank account you connected during setup. Payouts are requested, not automatic — you ask for them from Payments → Payouts on the web dashboard.

Request a payout

  1. Go to Payments → Payouts. The banner shows your Available to pay out amount.
  2. Click Request payout and confirm. The request goes to the Fitsly team, who review it and aim to initiate the bank transfer within 24 hours.
  3. Once the payout is initiated, it appears in the table below with a status, an amount, and an Arrival date.

Each request pays out the full available balance — there's no partial amount. If you've requested a payout within the last 3 days, the button reads Request in N days until you can request again.

So the realistic end-to-end time is up to 24 hours for the team to initiate, plus 1–3 business days for the money to land. The payout's row in the table shows its expected arrival date.

Only the available balance can be requested. Alongside these you'll see total payouts, lifetime volume, and a table of your past payouts.

Why a payout isn't instant

Two things pace the cycle, and both are working as intended.

  1. Stripe's clearing period. When a client pays, Stripe holds the money for a while before marking it available. The funds are in your Stripe account throughout — they just can't be withdrawn yet.
  2. Review by the Fitsly team. Clicking Request payout doesn't push money straight to your bank. It notifies the Fitsly team, who review the request and initiate the payout.

If Request payout is greyed out

Either you requested a payout in the last 3 days — the banner says when the next one is available — or your available balance is zero. A zero balance means nothing has cleared yet, or your last payout took everything. Check Available Soon: if there's a balance there, Stripe is still holding it and it'll move across on its own.

If the Payouts page shows nothing but zeros

Payouts need a connected Stripe account. Until you've verified your identity and connected Stripe, every figure on the page stays at zero. If the Payments page shows a banner asking you to verify your identity or connect Stripe, finish that first.

Things to watch out for

  • Nothing is automatic. Money sits in your available balance until you request it — no amount of waiting moves it on its own.
  • Refunds draw on the same balance. A refund is blocked if your Stripe balance can't cover it, so paying out everything can leave a refund waiting until more funds settle.
  • Lifetime volume can look low on older accounts. For accounts that predate the May 2026 payments upgrade, lifetime volume only counts payments since then. A tooltip on the stat explains this.
  • Payouts are owner-only and web-only. The Payments menu is hidden for team members and inside the coach mobile app.
