How do I request a payout, and how long until the money lands in my bank?

Wait until funds show as Available to Payout under Payments → Payouts, click Request Payout, and the team initiates the transfer within 24 hours.

To request a payout, open the Payments page in Fitsly on a desktop browser, go to the Payouts tab, and click Request Payout in the banner at the top. The button is only active when you have funds in Available to Payout. Once you confirm the request, the Fitsly team reviews it and aims to initiate the bank transfer within 24 hours. From there, Stripe takes a few business days to deliver the money to your bank.

Steps

  1. Sign in to app.fitsly.com on a desktop browser.
  2. Click Payments in the left navigation.
  3. Open the Payouts tab.
  4. Look at the Available to Payout stat card. If it shows a non-zero balance, the Request Payout button at the top of the page is active.
  5. Click Request Payout.
  6. In the Request payout modal, read the message "We'll review your payout request and aim to initiate the transfer within 24 hours. You can request a payout once every 3 days." Click Confirm request.
  7. Once the team initiates the payout in Stripe, it appears in the table below as a row with status, amount, and an Estimated Arrival date for your bank.

The four states a payment goes through

Every payment from a client moves through four stages on the Payouts tab. Knowing where your money is helps you understand what to do next.

  • Available Soon — Stripe is holding the funds while it clears the payment. New Stripe accounts wait roughly 2 days; this gets shorter as you take more payments. Nothing for you to do here.
  • Available to Payout — Stripe has cleared the funds. This is the only balance that can be withdrawn. The Request Payout button activates as soon as this is greater than zero.
  • In Transit to Bank — You've requested a payout and the team has initiated it in Stripe. Stripe is now sending the money to your linked bank account. Arrival depends on Stripe's banking rails for your country (commonly 1–3 business days).
  • Total Payouts / Total Balance — Cumulative totals for your records. Don't act on these.

Why payouts aren't instant

Two things slow the cycle down, and both are working as intended.

  1. Stripe's clearing period. When a client pays, Stripe holds the money before classifying it as available. For new accounts and new locations this can be a couple of days, and longer if Stripe flags the payment for fraud review. The funds are in your Stripe account the whole time — they just can't be withdrawn yet.
  2. Manual review by the Fitsly team. Clicking Request Payout does not push the money straight to your bank. It sends a notification to the Fitsly team, who reviews the request and triggers the actual Stripe payout. The team checks for these throughout the day and aims to initiate within 24 hours of the request.

If you've been waiting longer than that and the request still hasn't moved to In Transit to Bank, message us through Live Chat (avatar dropdown → Live Chat) so we can chase it.

The 3-day cooldown between requests

Fitsly limits payout requests to one every 3 days. This is enforced both in the UI and on the server. After you confirm a request, the Request Payout button changes to Request in N days and stays disabled until 3 days have passed since your last request. The banner at the top tells you exactly how many days are left.

If you have new funds clearing while you're in the cooldown, they'll be ready to include in your next request — they accumulate in Available to Payout in the meantime.

If the button says "No funds to payout"

This means your Available to Payout balance is currently zero. Either no client payments have cleared yet, or all of your cleared funds were sent in your last payout. Check the Available Soon card — if there's a balance there, those funds are still being held by Stripe and will move across when Stripe releases them. There's nothing to do but wait for that transition.

If you don't see the Payouts tab at all

The Payouts tab requires that you've completed identity verification and connected a Stripe account. If you see the Verify your identity to start accepting payments or Connect to Stripe to start accepting payments banners on the Payments page, finish those first — there's a separate article covering the Stripe setup flow. Once your Stripe account is connected and accepting payments, the Payouts tab populates.

Things to watch out for

  • The Request Payout button only activates when Available to Payout is greater than zero. Funds in Available Soon can't be withdrawn — they have to clear with Stripe first.
  • Payout requests are limited to one every 3 days. Plan around this if you want to consolidate multiple client payments into a single request.
  • Clicking Request Payout does not push money to your bank directly. It alerts the Fitsly team, who initiate the Stripe payout manually within ~24 hours.
  • After the team initiates the payout, Stripe still takes 1–3 business days (depending on your country) to land the funds in your bank — that final leg is shown as In Transit to Bank with an Estimated Arrival date in the table.
  • For brand-new Stripe accounts, the very first few payments often take longer to clear because Stripe runs additional fraud checks. This speeds up as your payment history with Stripe builds.
  • Payouts are not automatic. Even if money is sitting in Available to Payout, nothing leaves your Stripe balance until you click Request Payout.
