How do I use Fitsly from the coach mobile app?

Know what the coach app does, which dashboard sections are hidden there, and how its push notifications and badge behave.

The coach mobile app serves the same dashboard you use on the web. Signing in, coaching insights, client profiles, forms, messaging, and account settings all work exactly as they do in a browser.

What the app adds is push notifications and an app icon badge. What it removes is a handful of sections that need a desktop-size window.

Sign in to the coach app

  1. Install the coach app and open it.
  2. Enter your coach account email address and password — the same ones you use on the web.
  3. If you belong to another coach's team, pick a workspace.

A signed-in device stays signed in for up to 180 days without re-entering your password. The app asks for notification permission when you sign in.

Client accounts can't sign in to the coach app — they're pointed to the client app instead.

What's hidden in the coach mobile app

The Money and White Label sections are hidden on small browser windows too — open the web dashboard on a desktop-size window to see them.

A few dashboard controls are also hidden at mobile sizes and so aren't reachable in the app: the Tag manager on the Clients page, and the "Open in new tab" option on a client row. Some activity items open an external link in the device's browser rather than in the app.

Push notifications on the coach app

Once you've granted notification permission, pushes follow your per-event toggles from Settings → Notifications on the web dashboard. There are no separate push controls in the app.

If you decline permission, you'll see "Push notifications are disabled. Please enable them in your device settings to receive updates." Your inbox keeps working either way — every event still lands there.

Tapping a push opens the coach app but doesn't jump to the related item. Open the bell inbox to find it.

The coach app icon badge

The badge on the app icon counts unread chat messages only. Unread notifications never appear on the icon.

It recalculates from the server every time the app opens or comes to the foreground, so it corrects itself if a push was missed.

Things to watch out for

Notification settings live on the web. The 19 push toggles, the four email toggles, and your email categories are all on Settings → Notifications on the web dashboard. You can reach that page from the coach app, since the app serves the same dashboard.

A quiet badge doesn't mean a quiet inbox. Because the badge tracks unread chat messages only, form submissions, payments, and completed workouts won't move the number — check the bell icon for those.
