How do I manage my notification preferences?
Choose which events push to your phone, which also email you, and which email categories you receive — plus how your inbox works.
Fitsly gives you three separate channels: an in-app inbox that always records what happens, push notifications on the coach mobile app, and emails. Your settings control push and email — the inbox row is always written.
Everything here lives at Settings → Notifications on the web dashboard, which the coach mobile app also reaches.
Choose which events send you a push notification
Under App notifications, each coach-bound event has a Push toggle — 19 toggles in all. Everything is on by default, and changes save immediately.
| Group | Toggles |
|---|---|
| Forms | Public form submissions · Check-ins submitted · One-time forms submitted |
| Client activity | Workouts completed · Workout comments · Goals updated · Body metrics updated · Progress photos · Client account activated |
| Payments | Payments received · New subscriptions · Cancelled subscriptions |
| Communities | Threads posted · Comments on your threads · Replies to your comments · Reactions to your threads |
| Team | Team member joined · Clients assigned to you · Clients unassigned from you |
Progress photo added and removed switch together. Being added to a community has no toggle and always notifies you.
Choose which events also email you
Four events on the same page carry an Email toggle alongside Push, all on by default: Public form submissions, Payments received, New subscriptions, and Cancelled subscriptions.
The public-form email goes to whoever created the form — you, or the team member who built it — per that person's own toggle.
Choose your email categories
Under Email updates on the same page. Changes save immediately, and these categories control email only, never push or your inbox.
| Category | What it covers | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Product updates | New features, improvements, and announcements | On |
| Feedback | Occasional research surveys | On |
| Account activity | Sign-ins from new devices, password changes, billing receipts, payout confirmations | On — locked |
Use your notification inbox
Click the bell icon in the dashboard header. A red dot means you have unread notifications; the bell checks for new activity every two minutes and whenever you return to the tab. The panel loads 20 notifications at a time and loads more as you scroll.
- Mark one as read — click the notification, or use the dot button on an unread row.
- Mark all as read — click Mark all as read in the inbox footer. This clears everything up to that moment, even items you never opened.
- Show only unread — click Show unread in the footer, with the count shown on the button. Reopening the inbox always starts on the full list.
Things to watch out for
- Archived or blocked clients generate no notifications.
- Each team member has their own settings, inbox, and unread count. Client notifications go to the owner, every member assigned to that client, and members whose role can view all clients.
- Your coach app badge counts unread chat messages only — not inbox notifications.
Quick answers
Why can't I turn off Account activity emails?
Account activity covers security- and money-critical emails — sign-ins from new devices, password changes, billing receipts, payout confirmations. The toggle is locked on.
