How do I create and manage discount coupons?

Create percentage or fixed-amount discount codes on a package, set how long they run, and delete ones you no longer want redeemed.

Coupons are discount codes that belong to a single package. You create them on the package's detail page, and buyers enter them at checkout.

The discount-code field only appears at checkout when the package has at least one active coupon, so a package with no coupons shows buyers no code box at all.

Create a coupon

  1. Open the package's detail page, find Coupons, and click New coupon.
  2. Enter a code — letters, numbers, and hyphens, up to 30 characters — or click Generate for a random one. Generated codes look like "PROMO-XXXX", and codes are stored in uppercase.
  3. Pick the discount: a percentage from 1 to 100, or a fixed amount. The form caps a fixed amount at the package price.
  4. Pick the duration: Once for the first payment only, Multiple months (the form accepts 1–60), or Forever for as long as the subscription lasts.
  5. Optionally set an expiry date and a maximum number of redemptions.
  6. Check the live preview, which shows exactly what a buyer will pay, then create the coupon.

Buyers enter the code at checkout under "Have a discount code?" and see the discount on the order summary, along with what each future cycle costs, before paying.

View a coupon's details

Click a coupon on the package detail page for a read-only summary of its discount, duration, expiry, and redemptions used.

Delete a coupon

Open the coupon and choose Delete. New redemptions stop immediately, but subscribers already using the coupon keep their discount for as long as it was set to run.

Things to watch out for

  • Coupons can't be edited after creation. To change one, delete it and create a new one.
  • Redemption counts never go back down. A refunded or cancelled purchase still counts against a capped coupon, so create a fresh coupon if you need more redemptions.
  • Coupons belong to one package. Duplicating a package doesn't copy its coupons — recreate them on the copy.
  • A subscriber's coupon status shows in their detail drawer, with warnings when the coupon is paused, expired, or its discount window has ended.
