How do I create a habit in my habit library?

Build reusable habits on the Habits page — name, goal, period, duration, and reminder — then assign them to any client.

Verified Sep 12, 2026Web + coach app

Your Habits page holds reusable habits you assign from. When you assign one, the client gets their own copy with its own start date and history, so editing the library habit later never changes a habit a client is already running.

Habits are managed on the web dashboard. The coach mobile app opens the same dashboard, so everything here works there too.

Create a habit in your library

  1. Go to Habits in the main menu and click New habit.
  2. Give it a name, an emoji, and a short description. The description is shown to your client as a note from you.
  3. Set the goal amount and unit type — times, minutes, steps, cups, kilometers, calories and more. The goal must be a whole number of at least 1.
  4. Choose the period. DailydefaultWeekly A weekly habit runs only on the weekdays you pick. It defaults to Monday–Friday and needs at least one day selected.
  5. Optionally turn on Complete with Yes/No to make it a simple yes-or-no check instead of a measured amount.
  6. Optionally set a duration so the habit ends a fixed number of days after it starts, and set a reminder so your client gets a push notification at that time on scheduled days.
  7. Click Create habit.

Find a habit in your library

The Habits page lists your habits ten per page with a search box that matches habit names. If your library is empty, you'll see shortcuts to Browse templates and Watch tutorials instead.

Edit a library habit

Click the habit row, or open its row menu and choose Edit, to change any field including Yes/No mode.

Delete a library habit

Open the habit's row menu and choose Delete. This removes the habit from your library only.

Quick answers

Does deleting a library habit take it away from clients?

No. Clients who already have it keep it, keep logging it, and keep getting its reminders. To take a habit away from a client, remove it from their Habits tab.
