How do I use Fitsly's built-in habit templates?
Start from one of 30 ready-made habit templates, edit anything you like, and save it into your habit library.
Fitsly ships 30 ready-made habit templates so you don't have to build common habits from scratch. A template just pre-fills the habit form; everything stays editable before you save.
Templates live on the Habits page of the web dashboard. The coach mobile app opens the same dashboard, so this works there too.
Use a habit template from the Habits page
- Go to Habits and switch to the Templates tab.
- Browse the 30 templates or search them by name, description, or unit.
- Click Use on the template you want.
- The habit form opens pre-filled with the template's name, description, emoji, goal, unit, and period. Change anything you want.
- Save to add the habit to your library.
The Templates tab is also where you start when your library is empty — the empty state on the Habits page has a Browse templates shortcut, alongside Watch tutorials.

Start a client's habit from a template
Templates are also offered when you add a habit for one client. Open their profile, go to the Habits tab, click New, and choose Template instead of building from scratch or picking from your Library. From there you also set the habit's schedule — a start date and an optional end date.
Quick answers
If Fitsly updates a template, do my habits change?
No. Using a template always creates your own independent copy. Habits you already created from it stay exactly as you saved them.
