Habits in Fitsly are built either in your habit library or pulled from Fitsly's system templates, then assigned to clients one at a time from the client's Habits tab.
Build a habit in your library
- Open Habits in the left sidebar.
- Click New habit.
- In the Add new habit modal, choose a tab:
- New Habit to build one from scratch.
- From Template to pick one of Fitsly's pre-built system templates. Selecting a template pre-fills the New Habit form so you can edit it before saving.
- Set the name, emoji, description, Goal amount and Unit type, Period (Daily or Weekly), Set duration, and Set reminder.
- Click Create Habit.
The habit is now saved in your library and can be reused for any client.
Assign a habit to a client
- Open the client's profile and select the Habits tab.
- Click New habit in the Habit Tracking sidebar, or Add new habit in the Weekly Overview view.
- In the Add new habit modal, choose a tab:
- New Habit to create a one-off habit just for this client.
- Your Library to pick one of your saved library habits.
- From Template to pick one of Fitsly's system templates.
- If you picked from Your Library or From Template, the form pre-fills — adjust anything you want.
- Set a Start date, optionally toggle Include end date? on, and set the reminder time.
- Click Create Habit.
The client can now log the habit from their Fitsly app and you'll see their entries on their Habits tab.
Track a client's habit progress
The client's Habits tab has two views:
- Weekly Overview — week-by-week completion grid for every assigned habit, with a date picker to step through past weeks.
- Habit Tracking — individual habit detail with current day streak, longest day streak, total times completed, completion rate, individual log entries, and a progress chart. Pick a habit from the sidebar to view it.
To assign another habit to the same client, click New habit in the Habit Tracking sidebar or Add new habit in the Weekly Overview view.
Things to watch out for
- Creating a brand-new habit from the client's Habits tab does not save it to your library — it only assigns to that one client. To save a habit for reuse, build it on the Habits page first, then assign it from the Your Library tab on the client side.
- Habits are assigned one client at a time. There is no bulk assign across multiple clients.
- Habits cannot be added to automations. You'll need to assign habits manually after a client is onboarded.
