To create a superset, click the link icon on an exercise in the workout builder. This pairs that exercise with the one directly above it so they run back-to-back.
Steps
- Go to Workouts and open an existing workout, or create a new one.
- Add at least two exercises by searching the left panel and clicking the + button next to each. A toast confirms Added exercise "[Name]" to bottom of workout.
- Click the link icon on the second exercise. The tooltip reads Link as Superset. Once linked, the icon switches to an unlink state.
- Confirm the pairing in the Arrangement panel on the right — linked exercises show on a single row, separated by a comma (for example, Jump Squat, Squat Bounce).
- Click Save workout at the top right. Until you save, the header shows Changes not saved.
How do I add more exercises to an existing superset?
To extend a superset, click the link icon on the next exercise below it. It joins the chain immediately, and the Arrangement panel updates to show all the linked exercises on one row. You can keep chaining consecutive exercises this way.
How do I break a superset?
To break a superset, click the link icon (now showing the unlink state and tooltip Unlink Superset) on any exercise inside the chain. That exercise — and every exercise after it in the chain — splits off.
For example, in a superset of A, B, C, clicking unlink on B leaves A on its own and keeps B and C paired. Click unlink on C to fully separate them.
Where supersets are available
Supersets work in Regular and Interval sections. They are not available in AMRAP or Timed sections — the link icon doesn't appear on exercise cards in those section types.
Supersets cannot span across sections. Each superset stays within a single section.
Things to watch out for
- The Arrangement panel on the right is the clearest place to confirm a superset is set up — exercises in the same superset show on one row, comma-separated.
- Pressing Escape or navigating away without clicking Save workout discards all unsaved changes, including new supersets.
- The three-dot menu on an exercise card has an Add Alternates option — that's a separate feature for swapping one exercise for another, not for chaining them back-to-back.
- The link icon doesn't appear on the first exercise of a section, since there's no exercise above it to pair with.
