How do I duplicate or archive a package?

Copy a package into an unpublished draft, archive one you've stopped selling, and upgrade a legacy package to get its analytics back.

Duplicating and archiving are both on the packages list row menu and on a package's detail page, under Payments → Packages on the web dashboard.

Duplicate a package

  1. Open the row menu on the packages list, or the package's detail page.
  2. Choose Duplicate package and confirm.

The copy is named "… - Copy" and starts not live and not visible, so nobody can buy it until you've edited and published it. Use this to spin up a variant — a different price, a different length — without touching the original.

Coupons are not copied. Recreate them on the copy if you need them.

Archive a package

  1. Open the row menu on the packages list, or the package's detail page.
  2. Choose Archive and confirm.

Archiving removes the package from your storefront and your lists, so no one new can sign up.

Archiving can't be undone. If you only want to stop sales for now, turn off Live & selling instead — that blocks new purchases and leaves the package intact.

The dashboard blocks archiving while the package has active subscribers. Cancel them, or move them to another package, first. One-time buyers don't block archiving, since they have nothing left to bill.

Upgrade a legacy package

Packages created before the payments upgrade show a legacy banner. They keep selling and billing normally, but subscriber and revenue analytics aren't tracked for them, so their stats show em-dashes.

Use the banner's Duplicate action to create a fully tracked draft copy, then publish it and point new signups there. Existing subscribers on the legacy package carry on unchanged — their terms are the ones they signed up with.

Things to watch out for

  • Archiving is permanent. There's no restore, so prefer the Live & selling toggle for a pause you might reverse.
  • A duplicate starts hidden on purpose. It won't appear on your storefront until you turn on both Live & selling and Visible on storefront.
  • Currency can't be changed on the copy either. Currency is locked at creation on every package, so duplicating won't let you switch currencies — create a new package instead.
