How do I resend a client's invite email?

Open the pending client's profile and click "Resend email invitation" in the yellow banner at the top of the Overview tab.

To resend an invite, open the client's profile, click Resend email invitation in the pending-account banner, confirm the email address in the modal, and click Send Invite.

Steps

  1. Click Clients in the left sidebar and open the pending client's profile.
  2. On the General tab's Overview sub-tab, find the yellow banner that reads "This account is pending activation by the client."
  3. Click Resend email invitation at the right of that banner.
  4. In the Resend email invitation modal, check the Email address field — it's pre-filled with the client's current email and is editable if you need to correct it before sending.
  5. Click Send Invite.

You'll see a confirmation toast: "Account setup email invitation was sent to the client."

When the resend option is available

The Resend email invitation banner only shows for clients whose account is still pending — meaning they haven't clicked the original invite link to activate their account yet. Once a client activates, the banner disappears and there is no resend option for them.

If an active client has lost access to their account, they need to use a password reset instead — that's a separate flow and is not part of the invite resend.

Things to watch out for

  • The resend control is only on the client's General → Overview tab. It is not in the client's Settings, Profile sub-tab, or any menu — that banner is the only place to trigger a resend.
  • The Pending status and banner stay in place after you resend. They only clear once the client actually activates their account from the email link.
  • If the client gave you the wrong email at signup, you can correct it directly in the modal's Email address field before clicking Send Invite — you don't need to update the Profile tab first.
  • There is no resend option for archived clients. Archived clients show a different banner with a Reactivate account action instead.
