How do I control which workouts a client can see in their app?

Use Calendar visibility to set how many previous and upcoming weeks a client can scroll through in their schedule. Set it as a default or per client.

Workout visibility is controlled by Calendar visibility, which sets how many previous weeks and how many upcoming weeks the client can swipe to in their schedule. There is no per-program or per-workout hide toggle, and no "show only the next workout" mode — the only knob is the week window.

Set the default for new clients

  1. Open Settings from the top navigation, then click the App Display tab.
  2. In the left-hand menu, click Calendar.
  3. Set Calendar visibility:
    • Show the previous week — when on, new clients can swipe back one week in their schedule.
    • Show the next — choose 1, 2, 3, or 4 from the dropdown to set how many upcoming weeks new clients can swipe forward.
  4. Click Save Changes.

This default applies to clients created after you save it. Existing clients keep whatever values are already on their accounts — to update an existing client, override it on their profile.

Override Calendar visibility for one specific client

  1. Open the client from the Clients page.
  2. Click Settings in the client's tab menu.
  3. Click Training in the secondary menu.
  4. Scroll to Calendar visibility and toggle Show the previous week and Show the next to the values you want for this client.
  5. Click Save Changes.

The override only affects this client. It does not change your default for new clients or affect anyone else.

What the client sees under each setting

Calendar visibility controls the schedule carousel on the client's Training tab. The carousel is what the client swipes left and right to move between weeks.

  • Show the previous week off, Show the next 0 — the client can only see the current week. Swiping left or right is blocked.
  • Show the previous week on, Show the next 1–4 — the client can swipe back one week (to see last week's workouts) and forward by the number of weeks you set (to preview upcoming workouts).
  • The client's current week is always visible regardless of the setting.

Past workouts are always tracked on the server. Hiding previous weeks only stops the client from navigating to them in the schedule view — completed workouts and history remain in their record and remain visible to you.

When changes take effect

Updates apply the next time the client opens or refreshes their app. The setting is stored on the client's user record and read when the schedule loads.

Things to watch out for

  • Calendar visibility is the only workout visibility control. There is no per-program toggle, no "show only the next workout" mode, and no way to hide an individual workout from a client.
  • The default under App Display applies only to clients created after you save the change. Existing clients are unaffected — update them under Clients → the client → Settings → Training.
  • Hiding previous weeks does not delete past workouts. Completed workouts stay in the client's history and you can still view them from the coach side.
  • If you want to fully turn off a client's training tab, use Feature Control under that client's Settings to disable Training — Calendar visibility only narrows the week window.
