How do I build vault collections to share with my clients?

Build vault collections of resources, recipes, or on-demand workouts, then share them with the clients you choose.

The vault has two tabs — Resources for individual files and links, and Collections for the grouped, shareable views your clients see. Build the source items first, then assemble them into a collection and assign clients.

Add a resource

Resources are the individual files, links, images, and videos that fill your collections. Build them on the Resources tab before opening a collection.

  1. Open Vault in the sidebar, then click the Resources tab.
  2. Click Add resource. The "Add new resource" modal opens.
  3. Choose Upload File to attach a file, or Add Link to paste a URL.
  4. Enter a Resource name.
  5. Add one or more Tags. Pick from your existing tags or click New tag to create one (for example, "Start here" for welcome documents and procedures).
  6. Optionally add a Cover image. Resources without a cover image show as a plain tile with a file-type icon, which looks empty next to resources that have one.
  7. Click Upload File or Add Link to save.

Supported uploads: images, video, audio, PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, text, CSV, RTF, and ZIP. Files cannot exceed 300MB.

Create a collection

A collection is what your clients actually browse. Each collection holds one type of content — resources, recipes, or workouts — and is organized into sections.

  1. Open the Collections tab.
  2. Click Add collection.
  3. Pick a Collection type: Resources, Recipes, or Workouts. The type is locked once the collection is created.
  4. Enter a Collection name and an optional Description.
  5. Optionally add a Cover photo.
  6. Click Create Collection.

Collections appear on the Collections tab labeled by type: Resources collections show as "Vault resources," recipe collections show as "Recipe book," and workout collections show as "On-demand workouts."

Add sections and items

Sections are the subheadings inside a collection. Each section holds a group of items.

  1. Open the collection.
  2. Click Add section and give the section a name (for example, "Start here").
  3. Open the section's actions menu (the three-dot icon in the section header) and click Add resources, Add recipes, or Add workouts to choose items.
  4. Use the same menu to Manage tags, Re-order items, or Delete section.

To change how items display, use the buttons in the section header:

  • Layout — switch between Large cards, Squares, Narrow cards, and List.
  • Scroll behaviour — switch between Compact (horizontal scroll) and Stacked (vertical scroll). Compact works well for lots of subtopics; Stacked lets clients scroll through everything in one column.

Recipe collections

Recipe collections pull from your Custom Recipes in the Nutrition tab — they cannot pull from the recipe database. Build the recipes you want to share before creating the collection.

  1. Build the recipes you want to share in Nutrition → Recipes → Custom.
  2. On the Collections tab, click Add collection and choose Recipes.
  3. Add a section, then open its actions menu and click Add recipes.
  4. Pick the custom recipes to include and add them to the section.

Workout collections

Workout collections pull from the workouts you've already built in the Training tab.

  1. Build the workouts you want to share in the Training tab.
  2. On the Collections tab, click Add collection and choose Workouts.
  3. Add a section, then open its actions menu and click Add workouts.
  4. Search and select the workouts to include.

Share the collection with clients

  1. Open the collection and click Add clients to collection.
  2. Search, filter by tag, or use Select all to pick everyone.
  3. Click Add clients.
  4. Save the collection.

Clients see the collection in their app the next time they open the vault.

Things to watch out for

  • Recipe collections only pull from your Custom Recipes. The recipe database is not available inside vault collections.
  • Recipe and workout collections need the underlying recipes or workouts to exist first — build them in the Nutrition or Training tabs before assembling the collection.
  • A collection's type cannot be changed after it's created. If you picked the wrong type, create a new collection.
  • Files over 300MB cannot be uploaded as resources.
  • Resources without a cover image render as a plain tile with a file-type icon on the client side.
  • The Re-order items action is only available when a section has at least two items.
