How do I change my region and units?
Where your country and preferred units are set, how new clients inherit them, and how to change a client's units and timezone.
Fitsly asks for two region-related things: your country, and your preferred units for weight and length.
Your own answers are collected during the welcome wizard when you sign up. Each client then carries their own units and timezone, which you can change from their profile at any time.
Where your country and units are set
The welcome wizard runs automatically after signup, before you reach the dashboard. Its first step asks for:
| Setting | Options | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Country | Chosen from the country list | None — must be chosen |
| Units of weight | Metric or imperial | Metric |
| Units of length | Metric or imperial | Metric |
If you leave the wizard before finishing its second step, it starts again from the first step the next time you sign in.
What new clients inherit
When you add a client, their units of weight and length default to your own settings, and you can change them on the spot. A client's country arrives pre-selected from your country on their account setup page, and they can change it there.
Your nutrition defaults under Settings → App Display — macro visibility and which foods show in search — also copy to every client you add after saving them. Existing clients keep their own settings.
Change a client's units and timezone
- Open the client's profile.
- Go to Settings → Preferences.
- Change their units of weight and length, and their timezone.
On the client's General → Profile tab, email, phone, and timezone are shown read-only — edit units and timezone under Settings → Preferences.
