How do I change my region settings in Fitsly?

Region settings live in two places: account-wide defaults (country and units) and per-client overrides (units, date format, timezone, language).

Region in Fitsly is split across two locations. Your account-wide country and unit defaults live in your coach Settings, and each client has their own units, date format, timezone, and language inside that client's Settings → Preferences tab. The two are independent and must be updated separately.

Change your account-wide country

Country is an account-level setting only — there is no per-client country field. Changing it affects food search results and notification timing for your whole account.

  1. Click your coach avatar or initials in the top-right corner of any page.
  2. Click Settings in the dropdown.
  3. On the Account tab, in the Profile Settings panel, find the Country field and click Edit.
  4. Type the country name in the searchable dropdown, select it, then click Update Country.

A toast confirms "Country updated successfully."

Change your account-wide units

Account-wide units live on a different tab from country and are saved separately.

  1. Click your coach avatar or initials in the top-right corner.
  2. Click Settings in the dropdown.
  3. Click the App Display tab in the top navigation.
  4. Click Units in the left sub-navigation.
  5. In Units of Weight, choose Metric System (kg) or US/Imperial System (lb).
  6. In Units of Length, choose Metric System (km) or US/Imperial System (miles).
  7. Click Save Changes.

A toast confirms "Unit settings have been updated."

Change region settings for one specific client

Per-client region settings include units, date format, timezone, and language. They live inside the client's own Preferences tab.

  1. Click Clients in the left sidebar and open the client.
  2. Click the Settings tab in the client's top navigation.
  3. Click Preferences in the sub-navigation (rightmost sub-tab).
  4. To change units: pick a value in Units of Weight and Units of Length, then click the Save Changes button directly below the unit dropdowns. A toast confirms "Unit settings have been updated."
  5. To change date format, timezone, or language: pick values in Date Format, Timezone, and Language, then click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the panel. A toast confirms "Timezone settings have been updated."

Things to watch out for

  • Country and units are saved separately even on the account-wide flow — they are on different tabs (Account vs. App Display), so updating one does not update the other.
  • There is no per-client country field. If a client needs different country-driven behavior (for example, food search results), that is controlled at the account level and affects every client.
  • The client Preferences panel has two Save Changes buttons that save different things. The top button saves only Units of Weight and Units of Length. The bottom button saves only Date Format, Timezone, and Language. Click the one matching the section you edited.
  • No confirmation prompt appears before any of these saves — changes apply immediately.
