A freestyle workout is one you build yourself, outside anything your coach assigned. You create it from the Freestyle Workout tile on the Progress tab and run it in the same player as any other session.
Freestyle workouts are on by default. If your coach turns them off for your account, the tile disappears.
Build a freestyle workout
- Open Progress → Freestyle Workout and start a new workout.
- Name it — up to 50 characters.
- Set a duration in minutes, up to 3 digits.
- Add exercises from the libraries your coach allows. That's the default exercise library, and your coach can also share their own custom exercises with you.
- Long-press and drag to reorder exercises.
- Set each exercise's sets, reps, rest, and times, then save.
What you can set
| Field | Limit |
|---|---|
| Workout name | Up to 50 characters |
| Duration | Minutes, up to 3 digits |
| Exercises | From the libraries your coach allows |
| Per exercise | Sets, reps, rest, and times |
Run a freestyle workout
Open the workout from the Freestyle Workouts list and start it. It runs in the standard workout player, so you get the same set rows, previous results, rest timer, layouts, and finish flow, and the session is kept with the rest of your results.
The session logs to the day you do it. Your coach sees it on their calendar labelled "Freestyle · Logged by the client".
Edit or delete a freestyle workout
From the Freestyle Workouts list you can:
- Edit the workout's name and duration
- Edit its exercises — add, remove, reorder, or change sets, reps, rest, and times
- Run it
- Delete it, after a confirmation
Editing a freestyle workout changes the template you run next time. Sessions you've already logged from it keep their results.
Things to watch out for
Freestyle sessions count toward your streaks. They add to your completed workout totals and extend your workout streak, and they never break it — only missing a workout your coach scheduled does that.
Only one workout runs at a time. If a coach-assigned session is already in progress, finish or cancel it before starting a freestyle one.
Your exercise choices depend on your coach. The picker shows the default library, plus any custom exercises your coach has shared. If an exercise you expect isn't there, ask your coach to share it.
Archived accounts can't start workouts, freestyle ones included. Your history stays viewable.
