How do I start a workout?

Find your training in the client app, open a workout preview, and start or continue a session.

Your coach builds and assigns your training. You start it from the client app, and the same workout preview screen is the way in wherever you tap a workout from.

Find your training in the app

WhereWhat you'll find
Training tab → My ScheduleYour week day by day, with workouts alongside habits, check-ins, and other tasks
HomeA card for today's session, your consecutive workout streak, and days trained in the last 7
Vault tabWorkout collections your coach has shared — start any of them any time
Progress tabWorkout history, exercise history, personal bests, per-exercise metrics, the Training Programs tile, and the Freestyle Workout builder

My Schedule opens on today, and you can flip between weeks. How many weeks back and ahead you can see follows settings your coach controls. Days with nothing planned say "Nothing scheduled".

Open the workout preview

Tap a workout anywhere — your schedule, Home, a program, or the Vault. The preview shows:

  • The workout's name, duration, intensity, focus, and exercise count
  • A status badge: upcoming, missed, in progress, or completed
  • Your coach's card
  • The full exercise list

Pull down to refresh. Tapping a workout you've already completed opens its results instead.

Start or continue a workout

  1. Open the workout preview.
  2. Tap Start workout, or Continue workout to pick up a session you already began.
  3. Work through the session in the workout player.

Only one workout can be in progress at a time. Starting another asks you to either continue the current session or cancel it — cancelling discards everything logged in it.

Move a scheduled workout to another day

From the preview's calendar button, pick any day from today onward. Past days can't be chosen.

This works only while the workout hasn't been started, and only if your coach has left rescheduling on for your account. A program workout must stay inside its own phase's dates.

Start a workout from a training program

Progress → Training Programs lists your current and past programs. Scheduled programs show phase timelines, dates, and progress; programs your coach shares as an always-available library appear in a separate On-demand section, and a "to start" pill flags scheduled programs still waiting on a start date.

From a program's detail screen you can:

  • Choose a start date if your coach left it up to you — pick a day, or tap Start today. A confirmation shows when phase 1 begins and when the program ends before anything is scheduled.
  • Change the start date or push the start back a week, as long as nothing in the program has been started or completed and it isn't finished. After that, only your coach can re-date it.
  • Start any workout early, whatever day it's scheduled for — the session logs to today.
  • Add a copy of a workout to your calendar on days you pick from the next 14. Copies are labelled "From {Program}", never count toward the program's progress, and can be removed while unstarted.
  • Message your coach about this program.

Things to watch out for

Your coach may be logging the session for you. You'll see "This workout is currently being logged by your coach." and can't start it until they're done.

Another session may already be open. Finish or cancel the in-progress workout before starting a new one.

Archived accounts can't start workouts. You keep view access to your history and past messages — contact your coach to reactivate.
