How do I manage my app settings and notifications?
Use your profile to read your notification inbox, control push and email notifications, and update your password and email.
Your account settings live on the Profile screen in the client app, and your notification inbox sits behind the bell icon on your home screen.
There are no per-event notification settings. Push is all-or-nothing at the phone level.
Read your notification inbox
Tap the bell icon at the top of your home screen. A badge shows how many notifications are unread, up to 99.
The screen groups everything by day — Today, Yesterday, then by date — with unread rows marked out. Pull down to refresh, and scroll to load older notifications through your full history.
Tapping a notification marks it read and takes you to the relevant screen. You can also swipe an unread row left and tap Mark read, or use the mark-all-read button at the top, which shows "All notifications marked as read."
Know what you're notified about
Your coach's actions appear in your inbox and as push notifications:
| Event | What triggers it |
|---|---|
| Workout assigned or removed | Only for today in your timezone — other days are silent |
| Workout comment | Your coach comments on a workout |
| Form reviewed | Your coach reviews a check-in or one-time form with comments |
| Meal plan assigned | Your coach assigns you a plan |
| Macro targets updated | Your coach saves your targets |
| Goals, body metrics, progress photos | Your coach changes them |
| Community activity | Being added to a community, new threads, and reactions, comments, or replies on your posts |
Repeated reactions on the same thread update one notification with a running count instead of stacking rows.
Turn push notifications on or off
The app asks for notification permission when you first sign in. After that, push is controlled entirely by your phone's settings.
- Open Profile.
- Tap the Push notifications row, which shows an On/Off badge, or the Enable button on the orange "notifications are off" banner.
- Change the setting in your phone's notification settings for the app.
It's all on or all off — there are no per-type toggles in the app, and the in-app inbox keeps working either way.
Choose which emails you receive
- Go to your email settings. Profile → Email notifications
- Toggle Product Updates and Feedback on or off. Both are on by default.
- Account Activity — important account and security emails — is always on and marked Always on.
Changes save immediately. These settings control email only, never your push or in-app notifications.
Update your password, email, and sign out
From your profile:
- Password editor — enter your current password, then a new one and its confirmation. A "Password updated" email confirms the change, and other signed-in devices stay signed in.
- Email editor — enter the new address plus your password. It takes effect immediately, and an "Account activity: Email address changed" notice goes to your old address. An address already used by another account is rejected.
- Sign out — ends your session on that device only.
Things to watch out for
Your app icon badge counts two things: unread notifications plus unread chat messages. It recalculates from the server every time the app opens or comes to the foreground, so it self-corrects if a push was missed.
Your coach controls which features you see. A switched-off feature's tabs and buttons are hidden, nothing of yours is deleted, and it all returns when it's switched back on. Changes apply on the app's next account refresh — every 14 minutes while the app is open, or when you reopen it.
Quick answers
I tapped a push and it just opened the app — is that broken?
No. Meal plan, macro target, automation, and habit or check-in reminder pushes open the app without going anywhere specific. Use the inbox or the nutrition page instead.
