To manage your app settings, tap your profile photo at the top right of the home screen and then tap Profile settings. From there you can edit your account details, notification preferences, units, language, and more.

How to open Profile settings

  1. Open the Fitsly app and tap your profile photo at the top right of the home screen.
  2. Tap Profile settings.
  3. Tap any setting to edit it, then save your change.

What you can change yourself

Profile settings is grouped into four sections: Account, Integrations, Alerts, and Display.

Account

  • Name — your first and last name.
  • Email — you'll be asked to enter your current password to confirm the change.
  • Password — set a new password.
  • Profile photo — upload, replace, or remove your photo.
  • Date of birth
  • Sex — Male or Female.
  • Height
  • Country — affects food search results and when notifications are sent.
  • Timezone — controls when scheduled alerts and push notifications arrive.
  • Language — English or Dutch.

Integrations

  • App Integrations — connect or disconnect supported integrations such as Apple Health.

Alerts

  • Push notifications — tapping this opens your phone's system settings. Push notifications are turned on or off there, not inside Fitsly.
  • Email notifications — turn off Product Updates or Feedback emails. Account Activity emails cannot be turned off because they cover security and account messages.

Display

  • Units of length — Metric System (km) or Imperial System (miles).
  • Units of weight — Metric System (kg) or Imperial System (lb).
  • Date format — the format used for all dates shown in the app.
  • App Information — read-only. Shows your installed app version.

What only your coach can change

A few settings are managed by your coach and don't appear in your Profile settings:

  • Activity level — used for nutrition calculations.
  • Client category — your coach's classification of you as Online, In-Person, or Hybrid.
  • Which sections of the app you can access — your coach can enable or disable Training, Nutrition, Messaging, Check-ins, Habits, Progress photos, Body metrics, Vault, and Community for you individually. If a section is missing from your app, ask your coach to turn it on.

Your coach cannot change your email address — only you can update that from Profile settings.

Things to watch out for

  • Push notifications are controlled in your phone's system settings, not inside the Fitsly app. Tapping Push notifications in Profile settings opens your phone's settings.
  • Updating your email requires entering your current password to confirm the change.
  • Account Activity emails can't be disabled because they cover security and account messages.
  • If you forget your password, use Forgot password on the login screen instead of trying to change it from Profile settings.
