Each client has their own training controls on their Settings tab in the web dashboard. Changes save automatically and take effect in the client app immediately.
Change a client's training settings
- Open the client's profile and go to the Settings tab.
- Adjust the training settings.
- There's nothing to save — changes apply as you make them.
The training settings
| Setting | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Reschedule their own workouts | Lets the client move a scheduled workout to another day from its preview | On |
| Build & log freestyle workouts | Shows or hides the client's Freestyle Workout builder | On |
| Workout layout | Paged (one exercise at a time) or Vertical (the whole workout on one scroll) | Paged |
| Exercise libraries | Which libraries the client can search when building freestyle workouts | Fitsly on, custom off |
| Show previous week | Whether the client's schedule shows last week | Off |
| Weeks ahead | How many upcoming weeks the schedule shows — off, or 1–4 | — |
Control whether clients can reschedule themselves
Reschedule their own workouts governs moving a scheduled workout from its preview in the client app. Turn it off and only you can change the day.
Clients can never move a workout to a past day — the new day must be today or later.
Control freestyle workouts and exercise libraries
Build & log freestyle workouts shows or hides the client's Freestyle Workout builder. When it's on, Exercise libraries decides what they can search: the Fitsly system library, on by default, and your custom exercises, off by default. At least one library stays on.
Set the workout layout and schedule window
Workout layout sets how the workout player is arranged — Paged, one exercise at a time, or Vertical, the whole workout on one scroll.
Show previous week and Weeks ahead control how much of the schedule the client can see. With Weeks ahead off, the client sees only the current week.
Things to watch out for
The workout layout is also a setting the client can change themselves in the client app, so your choice is a starting point rather than a lock.
Moving a workout inside a program from the program detail screen is always available to the client, regardless of the reschedule setting — though the new day must still fall within that workout's phase, and be today or later.
If a client can't see something you assigned, check these settings alongside the client's overall feature controls.
