The Nutrition tab is where you log everything you eat and view any meal plans your coach has assigned to you. It has two sub-tabs: Log Food for tracking what you've eaten, and Meal Plan for following the plan your coach has built for you.
Top of the Nutrition page
- Day selector — the date you're logging for. Tap it to open a calendar picker, or use the chevrons to step one day back or forward. A T button appears when you're not on today; tap it to jump back to today.
- Calories total — your total calories logged for the selected day, with a breakdown underneath: protein, carbs, and fats in grams. Hidden if your coach has chosen not to show you macros.
- View metrics — opens Nutrition Metrics to see trends over time.
- More options (three dots) — opens day-level actions:
- Copy from previous day
- Copy from specific day — pick any past day to copy from
- Copy to next day
- Copy to specific day — pick any future day to copy to
- Reset day — deletes everything you've logged for the selected day. Only shown if there's anything logged.
The Log Food sub-tab
The Log Food tab shows four meal cards: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and Snacks. For each meal you can:
- Add foods — opens the food selector to log items into that meal.
- Attach a meal photo — optionally add a photo of your meal to share with your coach.
- Edit a logged item — tap any food item in the meal to change its serving size or remove it.
- Open the meal options menu — gives you two actions for that meal:
- Save to My Meals — save everything currently logged in that meal as a recipe in My Meals, named whatever you like, so you can reuse it later.
- Remove all foods — delete every food item logged in that meal at once.
How to log a food
- On the Log Food tab, tap Add foods on the meal card you're logging into (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or Snacks).
- Pick a tab at the top of the food selector to choose your source:
- All — search the global food database. Type at least a brand or food name. Use the barcode scanner to scan a packaged food's barcode and pull in its details automatically.
- My Meals — recipes you've saved or that your coach has shared with you.
- My Foods — custom foods you've added yourself.
- Saved — foods you've tapped the heart icon on for quick access later.
- Tap the food, choose a serving size, and tap Log food. You'll see a confirmation: "Logged food item with [n] calories."
If a food isn't found in the search, tap Add new food to create a custom food with its own name, serving size, and macros. It's saved to My Foods so you can reuse it.
How to delete a logged food
- One food: tap the food in the meal card to open it, then remove it from there.
- All foods in one meal: open that meal's options menu and tap Remove all foods.
- Everything for the day: open the three-dots menu at the top of the page and tap Reset day.
The Meal Plan sub-tab
The Meal Plan tab shows the meal plans your coach has assigned to you. If you have more than one assigned plan or your plan has multiple variations (different days like "High-carb day" / "Low-carb day"), you can switch between them.
- Plan selector — tap the plan name at the top of the page to switch to a different assigned meal plan.
- Day / variation selector — tap to switch between variations (the different day templates your coach has built into the plan).
- Macros summary — total macros for the selected variation, hidden if your coach has chosen not to show you macros.
- Meal cards — each meal shows the foods (and any meal options your coach has added).
If your coach hasn't assigned a meal plan, you'll see: "Your coach has not assigned a meal plan for this period."
Find different options for a meal in your plan
If your coach has added more than one option for a meal (for example, two different breakfast choices), each option appears as a tab on that meal card. Tap to switch between them and see the foods for each one. The macro totals at the top of the page update to reflect the option you've selected for each meal.
Log a meal plan item to your day
From any meal in your assigned plan you can log it straight to your food log:
- Log a single food — tap a food item inside a meal option to open it, then log it as you normally would.
- Log every item from a meal — tap the Log all action on the meal to log every food in the selected option to the matching meal type for the selected day.
Find your coach's recipes outside of a meal plan
If your coach has built recipes for you to use without assigning them inside a meal plan, those will be in a recipe collection in your Vault. Open the Vault tab to find them. There's no global "all recipes" library inside the Nutrition page — recipes you can browse come from either an assigned meal plan or a vault recipe collection your coach has shared with you.
Things to watch out for
- The day selector controls everything on the page. Switching dates changes the meals you're editing, the calories total, and the macro breakdown.
- Reset day wipes every food and the meal photo for the selected day. There's no undo.
- Save to My Meals saves a snapshot. Editing the original meal later doesn't change the saved recipe.
- Calorie and macro values are estimates pulled from food databases or entered by you or your coach. Fitsly does not give medical or dietary advice — confirm with a qualified professional for personalised guidance.
- If the Calories total and macros bar are missing, your coach has hidden macros for your account. Ask them to enable macro visibility if you want to see them.
- The My Meals tab inside the food selector is hidden when you're using the meal manager flow — it only shows up when you're logging directly to your day.
